Hello, I’m Sonya Marie Wilson!

I fell into cookies by accident, there were so many people that help me at the end of a very grueling year, 2011. I wanted to repay them but with cookies. I had 3 surgeries back to back, surgery on my hand, foot, and my back. I was determined to show appreciation. So I made a variety of sugar cookies, but with a gourmet twist. Shortly after that my church started to pay me to do sugar cookies for Valentine’s Day and Easter.

A barber shop on my block asked for a sample of my cookies, then asked me to make custom cookies, like toffee/chocolate chip, a fancy oatmeal cookie. I was able to pay my car note and insurance from cookies! It was very gratifying, but grueling because I still needed time to heal from my surgeries. I needed more money to survive on so I put cookies to the side to look for a more substantial income to support my family.

In 2019, I was in a pretty bad car accident to days before Thanksgiving, were I was t-boned while at a red light. The holidays were coming and I had no income, so my family assisted me as much as they could, so I turned to my friends, Cookies! I resurrected my recipes and made a killing. I am grateful for my customers and friends that challenge me with new cookie ideas, be it keto (not a fav), gluten free, sugar free, party cookies, festive cookies! I’ve made them all.
